22 killed in rare attack in Iraq's Shiite south (AP)

Iraqi security forces inspect the scene of two car bombs that ripped through a group of policemen outside the local ogvernor's home in the central Iraqi city of Diwaniyah. Two car bombs ripped through a guard post killing 26 policemen outside the provincial governor's home in Diwaniyah city, officials said, amid a surge of violence across Iraq.(AFP/-)AP - Twin explosions including a suicide bombing killed at least 22 people and wounded dozens early Tuesday near a government compound in a rare attack in the Shiite heartland, Iraqi officials said.
