West Bank murder smashed the lie of 'honour killings' (AFP)

Sisters of Palestinian Aya Baradia, 21, who was a victim of 'honour killing,' mourn over the water well where her uncle threw her, in the village of Surif near the West Bank city of Heron. The grisly murder which ended the life of the bright young student has sent shockwaves throughout Hebron and prompted the Palestinian government to clamp down on those found guilty.(AFP/File/Hazem Bader)AFP - Aya's remains were found bound, decomposed at the bottom of a well more than a year after she vanished without a trace, leaving her family beside themselves with worry.
